Together, we support Ginny for Mayor.
                                                                        --- People of Greenfield

The outpouring of support for this people-powered campaign is incredible - and makes us want to work even harder! We're running a positive campaign, and listening to our community members' concerns and hopes. People from many walks of life and political affiliations have stepped forward to support our common goals of honesty, integrity and fiscal responsibility. Here's just a  sampling of the many ways in which that broad support is happening.

Excerpts from a letter by community member,

Benjamin Miner

"Ginny Desorgher has been a tireless City Councilor, taking seriously the day to day concerns of those of us in her precinct, as well as the larger issues affecting the whole of Greenfield. She is always available to discuss a problem, and she *always* follows through.  Seeing Ginny in action on larger issues, using her capacity to sift through municipal budgets, parsing meaning out of reams of data and generally gathering a fully formed picture of how a municipality works - that is extremely impressive.

"It takes specialized skill...and this willingness to invest time and energy on an issue with which City Hall would much rather not be bothered is, to say the least, exceptional."

MY TOP GOALS FOR GREENFIELD

Pursuing educational excellence by ensuring robust funding for our schools and making sure our educators and staff are well paid and supported

Developing diverse and affordable housing to respond to the housing and rental crisis, and to accommodate an ever-growing elder population

Protecting public safety and health including ensuring 24-hour responders, instituting a zero tolerance policy regarding racism, as well as supporting the Board of Health to carry out its public health duties

Improving public infrastructure to be prepared for the increasing likelihood of extreme weather events, and to ensure our infrastructure can support new housing, commercial, and industrial development

Fostering economic vitality by working closely with business owners and by attracting more commercial and industrial businesses to bolster our tax base

Protecting natural resources to make our city more resilient to climate change, including preserving environmentally important land and increasing tree coverage and green spaces in developed areas

Ensuring affordability and accountability by reviewing and adjusting the tax structure and assessment values of properties to create a more fiscally strong community, and working cooperatively with City Council

In order to serve our community, a true leader like Ginny knows
it's essential to connect with people in our community.
